Re: Any suggestions

Does it just screw onto a long stud? If so try a strap wrench, it could be an opposite thread to the rotation direction? I’ve never stripped one of these.

Yes, I think avoiding moving the front cap is a good strategy!

Re: Long distance Seagull trip.

I'd suggest you carry a second engine as a back up. However as long as your engine is properly set up and serviced then it should be fine. If running villiers ignition then a new coil would be a good idea.

Re: New Baby

My OF is still waiting for when I return from working from overseas, not too long hopefully 8) The question as always, is how far to go? Generally I'm not interested in bling, so just a clean and tidy engine I think. The big question of course is whether to try and take those gearbox end caps off on...

Re: TC 102 water cooling problem

Sounds very odd. Did you take off the fittings to the cylinder and remove all the flakes of rust from the cylinder?

Re: TC 102 water cooling problem

Re: ht connector spring bits

First though have you tried SOS? John should always be the first point of call. 8)

Re: ACR 02

Re: Wanted Powerful British Seagull Outboard Motor

Seems like a potential good buy to me. Kingfishers are quite sought after. Seems perfect for what you are asking for.

Nice boat, I’d suggest a 102 or century plus.
