Watermota help needed please.

Today I bought a Watermotafrom some photos a friend sent me along with a few other interesting outboards as a bulk deal I couldn't refuse. The photo attatched is from the internet and I'm pretty sure it's the same model. Is this the 8hp model? It's missing the magneto so I'm hoping that someone can ...

Ferrier parts wanted.

I have just acquired a Ferrier. It's missing the tank, carburettor and the cast alloy piece which rests on the exhaust tube. Otherwise it's in nice order. While it should have the wrap tank, I'm open to fitting a found tank. Freight may be an issue as I'm in NZ but hey, who said that life is simple.

British Anzani serial numbers

Has anyone considering compiling a list of these to aid dating British Anzanis. I know that it's difficult to date them with any degree of accuracy but I am sure this would help.

102 props

When did the 102 start using a 3 blade cloverleaf prop? I have an AD 185 fitted with one but all the information I have found says the ADs used the bowtie prop so it's probably not original. Thanks.

Re: BMB Britannia coil fix?

I am interested to see the letterhead. I used an ad as part of what to do but there is no boat in that. Britannia script.png Also the photo you posted is different to the one I found on the Internet and used as the base. It showed some colour in the Britannia figure. Thanks for your post as I didn't...

Re: BMB Britannia coil fix?

This is where I have got to so far with the decals. Still not totally happy but getting close I think. More work on the waves needed. If anyone can supply a photo of the side tank that shows the T in Twin reasonably clearly it would be much appreciated.

Re: BMB Britannia coil fix?

Thanks very much for that. So I can connect both plug leads to the output and it will be ok? I have read some posts claiming that doesn't work very well and others who say it does. You say to get the condensor as well. There isn't one in the original magneto setup so do I need one with the different...

I have recently acquired this Britannia.Iit has the prop forced water system and a 3 bladed prop with chromed gearbox. The coil is no good so is there some way of replacing/repairing it? Is this villiers ignition? Any help would be much appreciated. This is a cool motor and mechanically is in excell...

Re: Help needed on Seabee

That basically confirms it for me. I hadn't noticed the absence of the leg band. Thanks for your help .Does anyone had a picture of a Seachief showing a decal. I found one picture of a Seachief Captain which must have been a smaller model showing a decal?

Re: Help needed on Seabee

Starting to think that it may be a Sea Chief instead. Found this photo which has the same transom clamp and is white all over. My one only shows white underneath the blue paint. No gold paint on the leg such as is on the Seabee. Does anyone have any info on the Sea Chief outboards or decals?

Thanks John. That helps although the transom clamp is quite a different shape.

Help needed on Seabee

I am a outboard collector here in NZ and have been given what I believe to be a JAP powered Sea Bee. I have tried to email Mark Newby at outboard-collector@tesco.net but the email wont deliver. I would like to know more about this before beginning restoration, ie; original colour (it shows traces of...
