what Charles said, if the pinion is worn gearbox oil can get into the cooling system and block it, had it happen with a very worn motor

I think anyone who contemplates doing a bass strait crossing in an old boat with a couple of dirty smelly old seagulls for company is totally raving loony nut case mad and I wish I could go on the trip as the madness would be excellent

Nelligen regatta

Boat is packed for the trip, trailer and wheels and tires are in good condition, new bearings and tires and tubes for the trailer, I am taking the 40+ as it is the best choice for the boat, it is a 2600k round trip, a long way but that is what we seagull tragics do.
