Re: Amal 416 fuel banjo CAD?
It's not really a shape that lends it's self to 3D printing & if it fails you've got petrol running onto hot parts, often we don't look at the motor until it sounds different. I believe there are brass ones about, try John. You've got this problem because even injection moulded plastic ones, don't l...

Re: One for the kids
Sandro your English is a lot better than our Italian.
Andrew don't you think your kids might be a little young for a motorised dingy, in 4 minutes they could be half a mile away!
Mind you there's a lot of benefits to a quiet life, perhaps the oars should be fastened to the hull.

Re: The Great Annual Waikato River Seagull Outboard Regatta
Nice pictures thanks Cam!
It would have helped me a lot if the pictures had names underneath them, I only could've named a couple entrants, & that was by their boats, Mr Murray.
Is it my imagination or is everybody getting older.

Adrian we've looked into that, long & hard, a working cylinder is a major task. 5 sand cores & the required moulds. Cast iron liner with all the ports in the right location, & the integral base retaining flange & a very complicated multi part core. And several fixtures for machining the base, bore, ...

There might be more than that, but many Marston owners don't want their treasures all over the internet.

Perhaps a look at the SOS main pages & then a read through the Marston Seagull page, might answer your questions.

Re: The Great Annual Waikato River Seagull Outboard Regatta
Here's a mail I got yesterday with a link to a nice film. Hi Seagull Lovers, In 2019 Rach and I had a great time doing this regatta, unfortunately we now live in Perth, Australia so can't make it this year :-( Good luck with the 2021 event, and if anyone has a friend who is unsure, tell them if two ...

Re: The Great Annual Waikato River Seagull Outboard Regatta
One thing the Kiwi's can do is organise a Seagull regatta, they might be very poor at organising a Pandemic, I think it was only 3 infections of Covid last month, very poor! We (the Pommes) scored more than 200,000, that's a proper score! I think this is their way of eliminating the competition! Sor...

Re: Mks 2 and 3 ignitions voltage
Interesting fuel taps where did they come from?
So if it sparks at A can we assume 10 KVA, if B = 20 KVA, C = 30 KVA, 40 KVA, isn't that what I implied?
Most owners don't fasten the throttle cable to the tiller arm as you run the risk of kinking the cable outer.

The Marston Register Wish List.
The Marston Register is not only a list of all the Marston Seagulls known to be in captivity. But also supports three other databases :- The Marston Wish list, Which is a list of all the members who have expressed an interest in ending up as the custodian of a Marston Seagull, without the aggravatio...

Re: Mks 2 and 3 ignitions voltage
I thought that was the purpose of these devices, that you set the gap small, test you get a spark, open the gap in increments until no spark, then return to the last setting where there was a good spark, should gives the voltage at starting revs, I think you'll find a chart in the instructions givin...
