I'm reliably led to believe ...and I have 2 ...that the wartime 102's were zinc plated for some reason ....but why ? paint has got to be cheaper ??

Ive seen this one too and fully concurr with Charles L about all the wrong bits ...is that what makes it rare perhaps ??? stripped down a 1956 SJM that was running badly didn't like full throttle...gulped and died repeatedly and didn't want to re-start took off magneto cover and points box cover to clean and re-set points ...left it 'naked' to try restart saw intermittent sparking across the points is this usual?? .......
