Another Pic. of the Gearbox. Some similarities with the Britannia maybe, except for the Brass adjuster at the front of the gearbox.

Re: What is it?
Hi BP, Thanks for the info. I do have a Clipper with a Victa 18 engine, and a Clipper with a Villiers 7F. Both units are very similar, but still lots of differences to the one I am asking about. One thing is the exhaust. On my other Clippers, they have a Finned Casting (Cooling) as part of the upper...

What is it?
Hi All,
Another recent purchase. This unit did have a Victa Lawnmower engine that is obviously incorrect. Could it have been a Hurricane motor, or a Simplex?
Any ideas??
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Mark

Looks like a lot of time has been spent, cleaning and preparing for paint. Have you decided which colour you are going to use.?
Another showpiece in the making.

Looks like a great project. Hard to find in that condition. You may need to build a transport frame, so you can move it around.
Look forward to more pics.

BP,
Great that you are putting the effort in to the Perkins. It doesn't matter what motor you have, as its up to the individual .
Waiting to see some better photos.
Love your enthusiasm.

Re: 1963 LLS Century model 100 powerhead woes
If it was mine, I would replace the block. If you are going to restore the engine, it will have to be dismantled for cleaning etc, so you will be able to decide then. Im sure it could be welded, but its unlikely to look "Factory". Century blocks are reasonably easy to find. Fuel tank is a ...

Re: My New Seagull??
Cool, Thanks for that.!!
I think I know where I can get a parts outboard.
I think I have heard that the BMB motors had Head / Block Corrosion problems, probably like most water cooled motors.

Re: My New Seagull??
Yes, Its a Victa lawnmower engine. I would like to know what the lower unit is from. Maybe I will find the correct engine for it someday.
