Re: Two Men in a Boat "Bass Straight Crossing"

I think its a great idea, I have found a mirror 16 makes a good seaworthy boat for a seagull and you can carry a lot of gear on one. I have preferred to use a boat where the steerage is by a tiller and rudder and not the seagull, it makes it more comfortable as you can get away from the noise

Re: Crank appears to be seized on a forty plus model??

I don't think the bing carb is standard for that model, they were used for a short time in th 70's model,
does the gearbox turn at all as it could be siezed and that could be the problem

Had a motor bike that use to stop running after pretty much the same time, it was a single cylinder yamaha srx600, tried everything to no avail but then checked the main wire going from the magneto to the ignition, it was slightly corroded, cleaned the connection up and the bike never had that probl...

Re: inheriting an old lls

inheriting an old lls

My old sailing mate Larry Loveday passed away recently at the age of 86, he had his last sail 2 weeks before he was taken ill. Larry sailed in his much beloved decrepid old mirror 16.The motor which he used he bought new was a seagull LLS 18418. I read with interest all the views on seagull maintena...
