They can be worth more than that...but what do you need from the front end , they are mostly moggy 1000 based.Most of the parts are available new. Trunnions are the normal culprit, followed closely by uprights. The idea of a 6 pot marina is a bit scary, even with the 1.3 they liked to go straight on...

And it seems to have a fish stuck to it.

Tapping is a great idea, but I did once replace a core plug with a 2p coin, dished with a bal pein hammer. It never leaked.

Mine is under the dinghy and 3 feet of snow.........all on the back deck. We shall see!
