Re: SD & SDP Poll
All the SD's I've seen in Holland have the 'Coolie Hat' ignition. But all the ex MoD ignition parts I have are Villiers MkI parts (flywheels, rope pulleys, 'for the world' covers etc.). The labels on the boxes are dated 1958-1967. Comparing to the dozens of SD's for sale in Holland during the last y...

Your right Shearwater, it will see your living room and not salt water.

The 1942 Seagull mkII outboard motor set manual (which HA pic is taken from) is refering to a brass shear pin for the prop.

Re: Marston- To Break or not To Break
Hi Rene,
Good to see you back on the SOS forum.
We need each other here for finding Marston and Seagull outboards, parts and information.
Also don't forget the endless discussions about the right time period parts.
Without the forum I never found a Marston for my outboard collection.

Re: Help - way off topic
Hi Charles,
First measure the voltage on the wiring, if 12V is present measure the current flowing to the heated rear window.
I think (I'm not a car mechanic) there must be flowing 50 Amps or more to the heating wires on the window.
If there is a high current flowing there is heat dissipating.

I've checked my early AC model and found 511/4291 (serial number?) and 3/7 (date?) stamped on the flywheel.Keith.P wrote:I don't know if it means anything to you.
