Seagull on the Dordogne in France

Postby dordognechippy » Wed Nov 23, 2016 11:45 pm

I just bought a local boat to go with my Silver century!

It is a local Dordogne river fishing boat. 4.5 mtrs long (nearly 15 feet) and about 1.5 mtrs wide. Flat bottomed and made from oak planks.

The combination works very well!

Most of the boats spend all winter submerged in the water. Bail them out and go fishing.

Looks like quite a good boat, not making a very big wave. Nice!

Yes, very nice boat and welcome to the forum!

I like your height adjustment set-up on your Seagull, with the 40 series engine lug.

Cheers

Seagull have been listing those in the part lists for more than 40 years.
Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

Can you post some more photos showing the hull shape? I think it is a winner!
