The funny thing is that I have three early series 1 OA's all with bottom feed, straight out, unpainted alloy float chambers. I am yet to see a brass bottom feed straight out version. The adverts of the time definitely show a bottom feed but on the later OA's I have (613 & 614) the carb has the swan neck brass chamber. The problem is that any of this could have been changed at some time or other, I have enough of them to build up a picture but it may not be an accurate one.

Thank you Rene.

I found another number on the carb body by the way just now as it was upside down.

Rene thanks.

Your post 100% agrees with my researches & I have inspected about 90% of all the known examples over the last 15 years, this carb was only used on the series 1 OA (46/032 throttle body with 22-025 float chamber) the one I've just looked at has 15 & 35 jets & a number LF 5195.

Though the gentleman who supplied Bruce's was famous for reassembling things "his way".

OA 3 106 has carb # 46/052. need to remove it to check other numbers

I am presuming this is original but who can tell, it may have been replaced at some time in the past.
