Questions to 102
The last days i found this one on ebay: http://www.ebay.de/itm/150998149934?ssP ... 1423.l2649
The seller told me the engine code: http://www.saving-old-seagulls.co.uk/i_ ... um=TC52396
I like the 102`s, and this one looks ok at the pictures. And the guy says that it turns and the clutch is working, but he didn`t check the ignition.
But maybe someone can tell me if it looks original? What for problems should i expect from a 102, do the have typical diseases?
I don`t know if i will buy it, because it`s not very cheap and to far away from me. But i would be happy, if you can tell me a few things about this engine and the 102`s.
Thank you,
Jan

Missing part of the transom bracket. Very expensive for what may not be a runner.

Re: Questions to 102
I would look for one in the UK, there are lots about.
Postage or courier should not be a problem.
If you can get an SD to Greece, then a 102 to Germany should be no problem.
Perhaps someone on the forum could help you out.

Re: Questions to 102
That`s a good idea. Sometimes i already took a look to engines in the UK. It`s only the hunter-gatherer- symptom
Re: Questions to 102
Yes, quite expensive. You will find cheaper by being patient and looking around. Also look on Maartplatz in Holland, which is fairly close for you.
Re: Questions to 102
Okay, thank you for your replys. I`ll do my offer to him after the auction ends, but it`ll be much less money
But here you can see, how he get`s his opinion of the price: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Ausenbordmotor-S ... 20cf7406b2 This guy wants to sell it since about a half year... He started at 850€

This one will be cheap I think.
You could always strip the paint off.

That`s a real duck hunting engine...

At least it's not silver paint. I hate trying to remove silver paint.
There are a couple of camouflaged motors that appear from time to time in Poole Harbour, doubtless belonging to wildfowlers or bird watchers. One is a powerful beast with beutifully applied camouflage a bit like the three colour splinter patterns the Swedish Air Force used for a time. It must have taken the chap hours!
Nobody would ever pinch it, of course. Maybe they wouldn't even see it..

Maybe it looks better after a dry ice blasting, if they didn`t sanded it to much...

There was this idiot who painted the whole motor white and shrink wrapped the exhaust . Never ran it the the stupid prat . He had a wild idea of his own abilities due to his over in flatted ego . No body would ever have stolen it cause it was just not fit for purpose .
