What carby is this ?
I recently came into possession of a box of bits ... The carby does not seem to match.

What's the carb number?
Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

Hi Rob,
It looks as if the float bowl has a top feed. Is that correct?
What is the through bore size?
Thanks
Jeremy

Nice top feed Amal. It looks like he clamp is designed to fit on the intake where a shroud would normally go on a Seagull, and on the two studs which are then protruding fits what is the choke lever, pivoting on one of the studs, and then the raised disc goes on to act as a bit of a cover, held on by two washers and nuts, similar to an Anzani Pilot with an Amal carb. Does this work?

The early Britannia Light twin had this choke arrangement, circa early 1931-33. However the throttle was lever operated. No cable

The choke/cover screws onto the same thread that the shroud does for the Seagull. The carby has these numbers 22 028 and 4E0, incidentally I can't find any identifying numbers on the Amal carbies on my 102 Seagulls !
