Piston still seized in the bore or freed after seizure.

Apart from the slightly rusty top half of the crankshaft, it looks reasonably good to me.
Pretty honest looking SJP block and crankcase complete with a steel head gasket.

You can almost bet that the waterjacket will be fairly well clogged up.
If you're really unlucky, the piston might be seized!!

Apart from the obvious it should clean up ok.

WHY?
What have you spotted....

Right, now i see.

Still perfectly useable as it is. (you should see some of my really old pistons ,full of dings and dents and plenty of pitting)

Pistons like this go in the bin.

There is a very good reason for that by the way................

Call me old fashioned but not one of my old dears that is worth their salt has something like lurking within.... as such aye.

Gull or otherwise.

What is your very good reason for "binning" a slightly dinged piston?

As long as the compression falls within accepatable limits and there is sufficient clearence in the bore not to cause any binding (and of course any hair line cracks in the crown) i'd still use it after a good clean up.... but that's me
