Liven up

Post by JERSEYMAN »

I just thought I’ll liven up the site a little and one of the reasons I’m on here,

An unrestored 78cc 1934 Marston OF Super Lightweight Seagull with forward, neutral and reverse, working as it should.

Sorry Charles, I just couldn’t help it

Don't apologize to me Rene, if I had a long shaft OF, I think I'd be showing it off!

Very nice!

Very nice Rene, Jealous. I still need an OP, ON or SD tank for my OP. All going to plan i will have some threads to put up next week that some may be interested in :P 8) Need to get the motors back home first.

Also Rene i would be interested on an update on the OP restoration you started a year or so ago, i was following it to rebuild my own one.

Here is an SD for people to look at but its not near as interesting as Renes OF!

Marstons never came with a copper top but it came to me like that, so I thought I’ll leave it

This particular OA is one of the last ones, maybe it should have had the earlier script version decal but who knows...

I’ve just had a look and I have an OA from 1935 (OA 483.4.302) that has traces of a flying seagull on the tank also I found this pic of an OK which were manufactured in 1936...ish. The OK model was the last of the teardrop Marstons

I’ve posted this photo once before on the old forum before all the photos were lost.
A flock of Marstons Seagulls, a few wrong props and tanks but mostly there, things have changed a little since and I’ll try to get an updated photo when the wether warms up a little.

I’m looking forward to tidying up my OG, the tank needs completely redoing but everything else will be given a light clean and left as is.
