Here are some photos as requested,I bought the motor in running condition about 25 years ago,at some time it developed a misfire and bits of it have been used on other motors as needed, the bottom end including both tubes are at present on my kingfisher Lerryn motor I hesitate to say race.Forgive them that..............

SNP is an exceedingly rare engine, get all the bits together and cherish it 8) rarer than Marston ON or OP that preceded it.

Thanks Oyster for the advice I have everything that came with it in the 80’s,however it had a screw brass tank and I did wonder why as my AC has a bayonet brass tank (1947).Perhaps it rusted out? I do read that they were tinned and had a long life.
I suppose I’ll have to go to boat jumbles and search for a tin tank and another bayonet cap....I do like boat jumbles.

You can find steel tanks, if you look about, keep looking.

I need one too! (steel tank).

Sid, can l add this to the SD register? It would be nice to have it documented for prosperity. I think l have most of the details. The box maybe a later SDP, D or AD as the nipples for 1942 were generally on the starboard side. This is not gospel as your motor is so rare that data is limited. Looks like a later drive shaft as well. All a similar match though.

Hi Hugz of course add it if it’s pertinent. The drive shaft fitted to it is just there to hang it on,its drive shaft is on my Kingfisher hybrid. Thanks to Allan staying away for the last two years it won the Lerryn race at Christmas.
The coolie hat cover is aluminium.

Yes, that's the correct drive tube on the kingfisher...my mistake.

Did Allan get a 2 year ban for exceeding the speed limit? I recall a bit of controversy. Maybe we should send an aussie team over

I almost came down for the last race. Though I would give it another go, don't want the locals to feel too complacent, but my wife told me she was "fed up with dusting trophies".

Have not used my latest race engine in a race yet, also Kingfisher based, did test on Thames with Charles and it gave his blue 170 a run for its money.
It is fast enough to need a rethink on boat rigidity.

Roll on next Lerryn race "biggest seagull race in the world" 8)

Huggy I can categorically say that I did not get a 2 year ban, but I may have sandpapered my balls, put sugar on them and then stuck yellow tape on them.

If that is all a 9 month ban will suffice
