The motor was pretty local and it was cheap enough, it may get some use on the boat.
Most likely it will be moved on, as 1979 is I little modern for me, I will see.

Has the throttle cable got a kink in it?

The owners manual ought to contain a statement saying. "Do not thread the throttle cable through the dooberry on the tiller arm casting!"

I think they're a lovely Seagull, Keith, worth keeping!

Yep Chas, they look good on display motors but are no good on motors that get used.
