Almost there, very nice!
But no Chrome or Nickel on the coppertop SD!
Get the fuel cap, fuel pipe & the water pipes & fittings stripped, replace the fuel tap with a push, standard brass one, John has the much more correct brass L shaped transom screws, & the drive shaft tube needs re-plating with dull, none shiny Zinc.
Your big brass washers on the waterpump housing look a bit alien.
Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

Hi Charles, thanks for the tips. As soon as I find the original components, I will replace the wrong parts.

Any chrome plater will strip those components, plenty of brass fuel taps about, looks nice!

Nice job! The original tanks were steel of course, but hard to find now. A nicely restored SD is one of my favourite engines
Take another look at the fuel pipe shaping also.

A bit of inspiration to get back in to my SD.
Thanks for sharing Maurizio.

Hi there Hugz,
I will provide you with JM number for your register in a couple of days as I left the SD in another town.
