hi all
am putting the engine back together. got to thinking. what lubricates the crank shaft or does it run dry ? is there any lubricant i should be using while assembling the connecting rod to the crank shaft

Sometimes the crank will run dry, but not for very long. The oil you mix with the gas keeps things humming nicely along. You should slather the bearings with some unmixed two stroke oil or a light grease such as Lubriplate 105.
