Re: British Anzani history
The old outboard book has a decent section on Anzani outboards.
Re: British Anzani history
Not so many I don't think - outboards were just part of the Anzani portfolio - ones I can recall are the Minor 3/4 HP, Pilot 2-3 HP, Super Sport 8 and 13 HP I believe ( two versions around 1950/1), Super Single 5HP, Unitwin 10 and 15 HP, and Magnatwin 18 HP.
Each type was very different to the next - no 'family' resemblance at all.
There were also racing versions of the Unitwins - very different animals to the standard models.

Re: British Anzani history
Anzani models included:-
Minor (1/2 & 3/4hp), Pilot (1 1/2, 2 1/2 & 3hp), Seamaid (3hp), Jet (3hp), Super Single (4 & 5hp), Seasprite (7 & 15hp), Sports Twin (14hp), Unitwin (10 & 15hp), Supertwin (15hp), Startwin (18hp), Magnatwin (18hp), 65 (6.5hp), 180 (18hp), 400 (40hp), Fleetwin (20hp), Triton (30hp), Class A & B racers.
I cribbed this data from one of the UK outboard collectors, who probably has owned most of these, but likes to stay in the background.

Re: British Anzani history
Thank you for that comprehensive list , they had a more extensive range than I thought . There seems to be an Anzani forum which I tried to join but couldn't get it to work .

If you look on that site you will see one of the cars I owned in the 60's. A Berkeley T60, looked like a baby E type, mine had a 3 cylinder 2-stroke, chain drive, dynastart Anzani, that I wrecked a rod on before I got it going properly .

That sounds like most of the stuff you touch!

Is it better to over think, than not think at all?

I was 16 at the time, my previous car was a 46 Hilman Minx that seized up as I was running a mix of central heating oil plus petrol I syphoned from dads car.
