At first I thought it would be a BA thread, but I've just taken a screw out of my FPC and measured diameter and thread pitch. It is around 0.161 diameter x 32TPI. A 3 BA of that diameter is 34.84 TPI. So that would suggest either 8-32 UNC or even No.8 ANC. It could even be no.8 BSC, which is used for wheel spokes.

I suspect 8-32 UNC. However the screw I measured was a bit tatty, so after all that it could be No.3 BA

ANC threads are quite rare nowadays I suspect, but fairly similar to unified.

The offer is still there.
If you want one, no problem at all as i mostly work with villiers ignitions which use an entirely different baseplate screw.

Off the top of my head i have around 10 of these screws along with the ht retaining plate that the screw goes through, absolutely no use to me whatsoever. :P

Did you sort your screw Super st?

It seems to be a very weird thread, Wipac must do the same as Amal.

As by my measurements it's 4.1mm x 0.8mm pitch which is very close to 3/16 BSF you should be able to get the 3/16 on the web, but only buy 1 to try out as the major diameter seems a bit big.
Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.
