The type 52 Amal carb is really quite small. The o/d of the float chamber is 1.238. The Type 223 is bigger at 1.525.
Does anybody have the a Type 52 or 259 (or possibly the 352 or 359) or the bare body or bits from any of these Amal carbs? As I am trying to find the correct carb for my Little Model Forty F201. This is probably the oldest 40 Series engine in existence. I believe the series started at 100, so its a very early one. It is in going order (with a borrowed Amal carb), and it deserves to have a correct spec carb.
Any help will be really welcomed.
