POR15 is also used in classic bike and car petrol tank lining, but requires 100% careful preparation, which involves 100% rust removal and 100% dry. Nice find :P The C models were a very early post war engine, which were quickly superceded by the AC (Clutched) and AD (direct drive) So a fairly desirable model to restore. The filler cap is not correct, it should have a vent screw in the middle, these are hard to find, I made some new ones a while...

Having no exhaust will actually be detrimental to performance. The exhaust creates back pressure as part of the two stroke cycle and that back pressure ensures the incoming fuel charge is delivered to the cylinder efficiently. You have embraced the dark side of the force :evil: Like the variable timing, which should get you some higher RPMs perhaps. For the exhaust a tuned expansion pipe would also help. Thats the limit of my tuning knowledge!
