Re: FREE!!!! Come get it....

Great idea, 11000 kms in an open boat.
Be ok if you could take an xtra passenger as ballast and to hack up if supplies run short.
Would that be called pollution ?

Re: hybrid

Another bit of info to add to this overly drawn out saga. The silver century block used here has no number or details on the crank. Reading thru the archives it seems extra cranks were supplied to dealers to allow for replacements or repairs and supposedly numbered the same or meant to be by the dea...

Re: hybrid

Before this disappears into neverland and with my camera apparently working heres a few photos of my hybrid. Started it up a few minutes ago using that advice to shake up the fuel so as to improve starting and stop backfiring. Gave it a real good shake, 3 pulls , about 10 secs or thereabouts of chok...

Re: Who knew...?

Thanks. My opinion now, after re reading info on this site is that this LS should ideally not be used ,at least not for hard work, considering its age and lack of availability of spares. As suggested. however I do know the present owners lacks that appreciation . Even then it seems an overhaul of at...

Re: Who knew...?

Jeremy. while all are advising that there is no problem with water exiting the 2 upper holes besides the in the cylinder block the amount coming out of the 2 holes could only be described as a flood. Spurting out like mini fountains if I can say that without being dramatic. then when turning the mot...

Re: Who knew...?

Yes there was. A thick bakelite like older gasket. we did remove it and trial run the gull without any improvement. Then reinserted and added washer to try and drive impellor up and it worked. At least until he walked thru my front gate and drove off. If he rings back complaining I may have to share...

Re: Who knew...?

Ok. So there appears to be a strong possibility that there still could be a blockage up in he copper pipe or head? Still allowing water through enough to appear normal? But not enough to cause excessive spilling out in drive tube? Will have to get this gull back, sometime asap not only to reopen and...

Re: Who knew...?

Thank you both . There never appeared to be any blockage of water going thru the correct channels even at he beginning . But the amount of water coming out the small holes of the tube did appear excessive ,spraying anyone near the gull and with water coming out of the spline joint at a great rate al...

Re: hybrid

Charles uk, Henderson is on the northern side of the Manukau heads and its a short distance through titirangi onwards through various bays and beaches , mostly bush surrounded to the heads via Huia to a very wild and wooly Whatipu. a fabulous place for the active and those wanting an out in the wild...
