I agree with the Donald Campbell comment. The flag, the color etc. Although my boat may be a tad slower!

My British Silver Seagull is running!
After all of your help the Seagull has been saved & runs great. I probably committed some sort of heresy but I had to make it a little special. Here in the states very few know the motor so This helps start a conversation. The yellow hand truck is just to move it around

If you have what John says, ie a Mark III or Mark VI ignition, there are no points under the flywheel. You have a CDI ignition. So why are you trying to remove the flywheel? No spark condition, or were you just planning to dress the points, which being CDI , you do not have

Removal of Flywheel on SIBA Starter, Help!
I am trying to gain access to the pointsand sparkplug cable on a Seagull Silver Century Motor circa 1979. It has the much maligned (According to many posts) SIBA starter on it. I have gotten down to the flywheel but any of the techniques described on other post don't seem to apply to this one ...
