Re: The Easter Bunny came early
That tank is PROBABLY from an SD but as a large percentage of D & C's were fitted with steel tanks & cast aluminium support brackets, it might have come from one of them, after that brass tanks, still with chrome bayonet fuel caps, but with chromed pressed brass supports were used. That the...

Re: Petrol tank
What number is your D Hugz and what model # and date is the mag. I am just wondering if the D's and AD's were in production at the same time. SOS records have the D production finished by 1947 and I always through that the D predated the AD but now I am not sure.

Re: SD owners and buyers guide
Back to the carb BnC, all my AD's are the low version, I have not seen an example of the high one, clearly it was a different die. so was thebowl with the high lettering only fitted to the SD's and what of the bronze variant? do they also have lettering? Couple of things to confirm making it easier ...

Re: Magnetos from 1946 to 1954
Pity that Jon, those numbers and dates, I think, could really tell a story of development and with enough dates across enough engines an accurate picture of what BS and Villiers were doing from 46 to the mid 60's. Any others out there with engines falling in that date range who could knock the top p...

Re: SD owners and buyers guide
Great stuff I enjoyed reading this over breakfast this morning in chilly Tassie. Both my AD's are in the UK so couldn't pop out and check their correctness. that will have to wait till May!

Re: AD 135
Cylinders
Three AD's 1946, 1948 and 1950 and a TC 1963 with a WD 1973 making up the suite
Note the likeness between the AD 135 Last photo and the TC second photo.
I believe that AD 135 has a 1963/67 cylinder fitted as a new spare thus the stamped identification 2F 67

Great set of comparative examples. I am downloading them as I do now since losing so much valuable data from the site during the upgrade.
I will revisit my recorded engines to reconfirm the data I have given you.
