Re: Meet Pricilla
It'll make it a whole lot easier to fit it in the blasting cabinet if I take the shaft off. Also wanted to give the rotor a bit of a clean. Easier to do if it's off, but now I'm seeing it's going to be a pig of a job to remove so I'll leave it in place,

Re: Meet Pricilla
So I've chipped away when time allows. Half the gear box is sitting in a soup pot at the back door. My better half hates my cleaners - maybe it's because they're not citrus scented.
After a bit of advice, I'm going to leave the bushings in place. One stubborn screw has confirmed this for me ...

Re: Worth fixing?
If experience has taught me anything, it's keep old machinery. The price goes up over time, and if you choose not to fix or use it for parts, you can always sell it later.
Me personally, I'd keep it and fix it up over time.

Re: Meet Pricilla
Good spotting there.
Yep, a good clean break hard along the side of the crank housing. I'm waiting on the replacement part (no welds). Also the carb is sitting on my bench and the fly wheel cover is in my van waiting to go to the engravers. I'm hopeful they can laser cut the writing into a new ...

Meet Pricilla
Meet "Pricilla the pig", one very stubborn and iron willed lady. The name has become quite fitting, but is given affectionately. She just needs to realise that my way is best.
She's been passed around as no one had a home for her, and has spent the last 5 years in a tin shed overlooking a lake. No ...

Re: Fast 102 (is there such a thing)
Nudge- nice looking boat. Sadly this year would be a no go. Have a sick kiddie waiting on an op which rules me out.
Rob- that's pretty much what I'm talking about, just add alpine scenery and plenty of sand flies.
How come everybody says heat is your friend for removing stubborn parts ...

Re: Fast 102 (is there such a thing)
Will get some pics up soon (she ain't pretty .... yet)
Maybe this is the time to build a classic clinker for it?? Of course there is the small matter of her indoors..... so maybe not. On the other hand maybe my feather weight is a better option for the tinny?
I digress but as I said earlier I'm ...

Fast 102 (is there such a thing)
Looking for some advice for my TC 102.
As I'm waiting for a new crank housing I began thinking about practicle uses for this old girl. I've decided she's going to power my fresh water dingy that I use for hunting. She'll run me back and forward over an alpine lake with never more than two on board ...

Re: TC fuel hose
I'm the type that leans to keep her original as much as possible without selling off my first born. That said I'm also not opposed to upgrading for piece of mind. Case in point would be say making a s/s prop shaft and drive shaft for my daily aux, that spends a lot of time in salt water.

Re: TC fuel hose
True, but white writing on black hose just doesn't really fit with 1950's technology. The previous owner could have at least fitted one that was plain black.

TC fuel hose
G'day all,
I've got a TC 102 that I'm currently pulling to bits. Appears that the fuel hose has been replaced at some point with some modern black rubber beast. Can somebody please tell me what it should have there? I had a feeling it should have that discoloured clear hose
Thanks in advance
