It rather looks like your featherweight has been upgraded by it's previous owner whose upgraded the ignition with a Wipac mk4 CDI, that from the look of the flywheel cover was recycled from a 170. The lower unit & prop also look a bit newer than this ones date of manufacture, but I'd have to as...

By that engine number May 1965. Siba did a kit to go on these. External frame support I think.
At that time an aftermarket thing I believe.

Lining up projects for 2024.....I have a few.
Question is.....what transom bracket goes with this engine S.D5420.L.3?
Needs to be in one assembly again.
Should see enough for the Hugz lists aye.

Next job was to look at the tiller, which was slightly bent! A bit of gentle persuasion worked a treat here. Heres a photo of my early BMB. The clip could be easily made from a piece of spring steel strip or similar. Do you want the actual dimensions? I also have a later BMB with the smooth exhaust casting and villiers magneto, but I suspect that part is different. I have ordered some spring steel...a bit...

Finishing really early tanks is a can of worms at any time. I had some feedback that they were blue. I was roughly 7 or 8 years old when I first saw this motor.
