Re: AD16381
Shame about the Gulls.
Your barrel looks to be in excellent condition. It must have been reasonably well flushed out after use.
I have a Seagull manual that states that the carby bowl must go to the left, or Barrel end of the motor. I will try to find it, and post it .

Re: Prices and Perceived Value
Yes, thats good buying at $40 delivered. It will be interesting to see how the prices go in the future. I have been a collector / restorer all my working life, early years were vintage cars, and later years outboards, and I have seen prices go very high, and then fall down and stay down. I think a l...

Re: Australian Seasprite
Still curious about the decal. It seems A W Pryor went to some trouble to advertise that they were the manufacturers, with the Rope Pulley, and the Brass Plate. It would seem odd that they would use a decal with the previous companies logo.

Re: Australian Seasprite
That is looking Fabulous. Great attention to detail, as usual.
It will be interesting to see the Blue Tank bolted on, and the decals finished.
Is the decal from AMECO the same as when A W Pryor started production ?

Re: British Anzani Minor help needed
That Anzani is a Very Lucky Outboard. I doubt anybody else would have the skills , or put in the amount of time and effort, that you have done. Another Vintage Outboard saved from a box of parts.
I am looking forward to seeing what your next project will be.
Cheers,
Mark

Re: Undocumented Australian Outboards
I recently enquired about a Rawco outboard at a clearing sale in QLD. When I got the pictures, I realised it had an incorrect engine, so I didnt pursue it. There must still be a few around.

Nice Evinrude. I am interested in how the tank dent comes out, as I have a similar tank with several dents. Its a job I have been thinking about for a while.
