Re: My first Seagulls
Hi BP, Looks like a good score with the Seagulls, and lucky to get the handbook also. Im not sure about the Engine Stand, as it looks like a home made one to me, but I could be wrong. Hopefully you will get them both going, with a little bit of TLC. Sometimes you get lucky with a seized engine, and ...

Re: 1929 ELTO outboard
Sounds like a good plan. New rings and a few gaskets, are probably the only new parts you will need, other than Plugs and oil etc. Hopefully you can find Good Used parts, that are affordable.
Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

It looks a bit like Army Green. I have a similar model, only 13 units different. Mine is AD31373. Maybe I will paint mine the same, and start a new trend. LOL

Re: 1929 ELTO outboard
Where do you expect to get the missing parts ? Is it a possibility that they can be sourced locally , or are they Import Only from the USA.
If you have to import heavy parts, the postage could be expensive, as It seems to have gotten a lot more costly, in recent times.

That is a cool old motor. I would love to have one, one day.
Is yours complete. I didn't see the Carby in the photos.
Good luck with the resto.

Re: Australian 50's Tornado
Thats a Great Little Outboard. Im glad you got it.
Love the little Brass Canister. I used to have something very similar, years ago, but it had a small curved nozzle outlet. I didn't know what it was for.
Maybe we will see this Tornado running in a barrel one day.

Re: Australian Riptide Sportsman
Hi AusAnzani,
It seems you would rather go overseas on holiday ? than work on your outboard in the cold and wet LOL.
But seriously,
I do find that the weather makes a big difference to enthusiasm. I also find that the more birthdays you have, the less drive you have.

Hi Phil,
Ice does get thick,
But only in the freezer LOL,
We do get light frosts sometimes.
Too cold to go outside.

Re: Anzani Pilot ID
Thanks B,
Im really happy with the way it runs.
Just need to get it on the back of the boat, and give it a whirl.
May have to wait till spring time.

Re: Anzani Pilot ID
Rick, Thanks for the advice. I put a little heat on the Prop, and it came off reasonably easily. I have also removed the water pump , and cleaned it. It looks to be in good condition. Carby came apart easily. The choke plunger thing, was free, and the carb looks mostly clean, and was a simple job to...
