Hello Les, the impeller is in fact a rotor. the rotor works by simple centrifugal force, like a washing machine pump. Try removing the split pin and washer, then the drive spring from the prop. If the prop slides of well and good take it off, if reluctant to slide off, just let it free wheel and try...

Hello Folks I will be shutting down for a week, off on a Narrow boat holiday! Gone to 'wind down', as they say!! Really I'm Seagull Spotting!
