Re: One for the kids
Andrew don't you think your kids might be a little young for a motorised dingy, Good looking motor and boat, I did think 5 and 7 was a little young for a seagull. My son could start a Featherweigh when they were about 10. But he could start a Mariner 2hp when he was 9. 03082009319.jpg My view has a...

Re: Adrian Dale
I am sorry to hear that Adrians health has worsened. I met him once on one of the Thames events, nice guy.
He was living life to the full, and was only hindered by his health, would have loved to done the long Marston run with him.
Thanks for letting us know Jeremy.

Have you got a welder? if so weld a nut to the end of the broken off bolt. the heat when welding will help to free it up and the nut will give you something to grip. 20210310_163332[1].jpg I always weld a washer first then weld a nut to the washer, I got it very hot a couple of times. bolt was well...

And the stuck bolt is out, took a bit of work but result is pretty good. 20210314_122502[1].jpg Just fitted in the mill with a couple of mil clearance. Center drilled first, then followed up with 6.5mm drill. 20210314_123150[1].jpg 20210314_123251[1].jpg Nice when you can uncoil the threads 20210314...

Re: HSD12704.L
Welding a washer and a nut did not work, just sheared it off again, so plan b.
Pop it in the milling machine and drill out 6.8mm or No. 22 drill.
Will wait till the weekend so I have a bit more time.
I was quite surprised how big it is, should have a 40HP on top

Weld a thick washer on the broken bolt, then weld a nut to the washer, that will get it out.

Re: The Marston Register Wish List.
I am looking for an ON gearbox if there are any about, just need the ali part as my skeg is a little corroded.
Also could do with a prop retaining nut for an OA.
Also need coil cheek retaining screws for an OA.
