Re: Americas Cup

No worries at all Nudge. The prop is yours gratus. The green paint is very very expensive though. would you like it removed or could I do some damage? Will get it to you come birthday weekend or when visiting rellies shoreside. If you need it promptly I 'm not moving on my bitsa construction until I...

Re: Americas Cup

Thanks Nudge but amal carb not needed. We had a period of great sunshine the other day which I took advantage of. Warm as, winter lurking. Just another perk of living out here in the wild west. The prop shown , 4 bladed is marked "100 only" Do you have an interest in it? Its yours if so . ...

Re: Americas Cup

Thanks Nudge. Have decided to go for the silver cent top end, better nick and hopefully better performance. Have 2 wipac ign units too so chances look good there. Only have LLS bottom end but are changing the drive gear to a latter model which has 4 holes to allow better lubrication inside as agains...

Americas Cup

Interesting seeing the results from day one in Bermuda. Sir Ben Ainslie and Landrover share the lead with the Yanks on 3 points while my hopefuls, team NZ got walloped by Oracle and trail behind on 1 point along with Japan and the others. Could this be sure sign of who the finalists are come the end...

Re: An FVP in USA

Very nice very very nice.
But the crossbeam on the trolley is chipped and appears to be maybe douglas fir or some other firewood type.
Surely ebony or iroko or even plain walnut or oak would have been better choice.

Re: Just Realised Something

Surprised to hear of you being "a bit anal". Which bit? But the most important thing about oven cleaners is always wear a fresh apron when applying and always clean the oven again before re-using. Otherwise the food tends to taste gritty. Also use a pair of good quality kitchen glove...

Re: Seagulls ,liners and free storage

Dunno about running their seagulls while in our care. But yup after due consideration that will be ok. Mind you if any of the gulls leak oil we may have to take action like maybe exchanging the gearboxes for Yamaha ones especially if they are used in the Waikato race. Would anyone notice?\ I definit...

Seagulls ,liners and free storage

An utterly horrendous time. Stress beyond belief. What do I do now if while out trolling in my dingy , putting along with a 4 1/2 siver century and I come across a giant European liner , sinking , with passengers scrambling about wanting to be saved. Do I only assist or take aboard those from the UK...

Re: I felt like a mug.

Feeling like a mug is acceptible to me. I just proved I am one. I just raced onto ebay and ordered and paid for 8 x 1.2v 3000mah AAA batteries from China. Then I do a check up on them and discover they only power up to 400-600mah , tops. Seems newbies in this ebay world , like me buy these by the tr...

Re: James May the reassembler

This blog here perhaps demonstrates why it is so successful and so dearly appreciated by members worldwide. But then it may only be possible in a place like the UK where perhaps the worlds most generous and giving people reside. Up goes the request for someone to make a video of reassembling a seagu...

Re: James May the reassembler

I have always considered James May to be the weakest member of the motoring team and in fact a very boring person on his own. He seems to always struggle with the script especially when he wants to appear in charge. A very replaceable person who gives the impression he is an vital part of the team w...

Re: Seagull true colours

Mate, for heavens sake.. Hamilton is a great place to grow cows etc but the people only reside there because of their fear of crossing the Bombay hills. I fully appreciate and admire your sincere loyalty to those so involved with the great Waikato river event but if even their wealthy banks in their...
