Seagull stuff in Scotland

Next month I will make a round trip in Scotland, mostly western coast, but also other areas. Are there any retailers in Scotland that have a stock of Seagull parts?

Re: Flywheel cover with text in black

I didn't know. I thought they had quit the stage years ago.
Anyhow, it should be no problem now to find out if they would object against reproducing flywheel covers.

Re: Flywheel cover with text in black

I think it is no problem to have a small series of flywheel covers made, on a non profit basis just for restoring purposes and not to make a business of it, with "The best Outboard Motor in the World" on it.
Is Seagull still an existing company or does someone have the rights on the name?

Flywheel cover with text in black

Apparently there are different flywheel cover plates for the Villiers: with the text shallow engraved and no black and with a slightly deeper engraving filled up with black paint, making the text clearly visible. I'm looking for the latter in good shape (no dents or serious scratching). See also pic...

102 clutched gearbox

I'm looking for a standard (not Plus) 102 clutched gearbox in good shape and good working order for my THC Long shaft 1960/61. Which is a Plus-type, but I want to convert it to a standard 102, because a "barge pusher" is a bit too much for me.
Anyone?

Re: 40+ suitable for Tammie Norrie?

Thanks for the response. The boat on the photo is just an example, "stolen" from the internet. I will leave the centreboard out and build it as a rowing-boat. I will use it only on small to medium sized lakes and canals in Holland. I have a nice 40+ long shaft in good working condition and recently ...

40+ suitable for Tammie Norrie?

This topic should be called Seagulls suitable for boats. :) My question: would a 40+ be powerful enough for a Tammie Norrie (a 4.11m/14 Ft wooden rowing-boat)? I'm considering building this one.

Re: Introducing myself; Shearwater

After my first post I was away from the forum for quite a while but still in the Seagull world. It appeared to me that the 40 minus was not exactly what I need but I swapped it for a nice 40 Plus longshaft (SJP). The FV parts were in poor condition and far from complete and I included them in the sw...

Introducing myself; Shearwater

Hi, I'm new to the Seagull world. That is to say: we, my parents and I had a Seagull behind our sailing boat in the fifties which was sold when I was still a child. Since then I always enjoyed these old outboard engines when I saw one though I had no boat since then. Two weeks ago I came across a ni...
