Re: Moderators Meeting Spillover

No, no more news as yet.

I wish you hadn't written "improvements" - it implies a little scepticism, which they don't deserve.

Re: Moderator's Meeting

Thank you, Oyster. I am reliably informed that what I have is a mere snuffle, and if I were a woman I would just get on with it!

What I dread is this Australian variant. They're obviously cross with us for some sporting defeat or other...

Re: Moderator's Meeting

Worthy of consideration, yes. Smoke blowing exercise, certainly not. There have been a number of suggestions on these two threads, as well as a few from PMs and telephone conversations. However, I for one am going nowhere, not even down the road to the pub, until I have shaken off this year's misera...

Re: Moderator's Meeting

Guys, (and of course any gals that might be lurking)- there's one thing we could do now that would improve the site no end. Could we please just draw a line under this business of Jon's SD data? The guy had a computer problem and whatever he had is gone. That's the end of it. There's no point in get...

Re: Skeletal Bracket

I've got a bolt-on version that is drilled for that bar. It's not threaded. It' very close to the usual bar.

I have found two of the thumbscrew types, both have only a small hole drilled for a bronze split pin that holds a retaining chain.

Curious!

Re: Auxiliary engine

The "F" for "Forty is an easy one as British Seagull were already referring to their "Little Model Forty" in advertisements and brochures. Jeremy's suggestion for "LS" isn't a bad one, I've heard "Little Seagull" too. and I've heard the "Junior"...

Re: Have I got the longest one?

What an interesting thread. Nice to see that advice from the factory about starting your motor in freezing conditions. Interesting that it applies to all the models from the OJ right through to the LS etc., That's not a document I've seen before. I have seen that sectional drawing before, I'm sure i...

Liam I have no technical information such as gear reduction. The photo is from a brochure that merely suggests that it's a good thing!

Re: Pothauler

I'm particularly full of admiration for the G Cramp that seems to secure the thing to the boat!

In the past I have wondered if a similar device might be contrived for hauling in an anchor, an activity which leaves me breathless and trembling!
