It is FVP5959 that has the LS bits in it. it has a FVP crankcase however.

But thanks i now get what you are talking about with your FV.

I would have to re check the measurement to get a figure but all i did was measure the stroke of the piston, LS stroke being longer then FVP stroke.

Yes Jeremy, bottom crankcase is shot. i will glue them back on with jb weld since the motor will be a ornament.

And yup, crank, conrod, piston and block are all LS parts on FVP5959, good donor motor however.

Whats everyone's trick on polishing ali for little 40's?????

So far i am 2 hours in using a wire brush on a drill and have done a prop blade and about 1/4 of a engine support lug.

Very low being around 32psi. Chas is probably right about the paint not being specific now i think of it. I own grey fergie tractors and are early- mid 50's and i know that the paint used in the ferguson factory was all leftover battleship paint and there were probably at least 10 different shades used.

Wow, nice motor. i too have a crated motor but nowhere near as interesting as an SD.

Hugo, i would be happy to help with the green paint but the nearest place i could go to match it is 140 miles away. I can probably do something but it wouldn't been soon.
