Re: AD 27212
Yeh". Just didn't remove the carb from the stub that's all. I pulled it of the shelfs and layed it on the ground for a pic. Didnt think it would work well. The cyl has a bit of green paint on it in places. Can anyone tell me why. I have noticed this on some 102 motors a bit

One our greatest native birds here in Oz. We have one that comes to our back yard for a feed every now and again. Dont have any dramas over this side with them. Every time he comes around we don't have any pest spiecies of birds lurking about.

Re: Can prop be changed to improve performance?
A prop change could increase your boats speed by only a knot or 2. Show us the prop you got now. There are 2 different 2 blade props for seagulls that I know of.

Re: Cleaning carb bodys with vinegar
After a 12 hour soak giving the container a shake a couple of times and then a good squirt with the garden hose, this is how it turned out. The vinegar has not eaten away the alloy, but it has eaten out all of the corriosion that was on the surface leaving the body all nice and clean.

Cleaning carb bodys with vinegar
After Collector Inspector posted up on my spark plugs and molassas thread, he showed how he has cleaned spark plugs using vinegar. Ive decided to try his method on a Villiers carb body. I have one that badly damaged, it cant be used anymore. So if soaking it will do harm its going to be no loss. Ive...

Re: Molassas and spark plug Question
Ive had these plugs sitting out in the weather for 4 days after soaking them in the molassas. I removed them and just let them drip dry. It acts like a form of inhibitor, and i will store them in an old cigar box and keep them in my tool box.

Re: 102 advice please (WC 385 R6)
You already have one nut removed. Can you turn the other end with a spanner. If so its loose enough to use a hammer and center punch to push out from one end. Use heaps of WD-40 and give everything a fair soak. Use lite taps only as it should just fall out, You could even try turn the nutted end wit...

Re: 102 advice please (WC 385 R6)
i have marked the areas in different colour to explain a couple of things. The red circled brass nut can be removed so you can adjust your trim angle to suit your boat. The green circled slot thats on each side of the lower tramson bracket is so you can put a couple of screws to secure it without c...
