If a sailboat can foil , why not a seagull

Post by Chilli Dog »

So proud of all the Kiwi sailors contributing to all the Americas Cup campaigns. But most of all Team New Zealand . These guys sail in the harbour and flash past the bay where I run my gull and live . Watching the big cat foil is freaky . If we can hold it together it could be good . word is they have broken 50 knots . They admitted to forty , but very weary of giving much more away now. Reminds me of a gull racer . enjoy http://youtu.be/fNb5QJH1vtE

p.s if you guys don't like this cause it's not stricty gull ~ sorry , complain to Tinker , that should help : )

Nice picture of the type of foils they use here.

There are man powered foils, so it should work with a seagull, might be a little fragile.

It takes very little to stall a foil when they are small, a little bit of seaweed would be enough, or a plastic bag.
