Was it the Dargaville thing this weekend? did anybody go?

Yup! started at ruawai boat ramp and ended up in Dargaville. a 30km trip.
Great days outing. The weather gods where good to us, nice and fine.. even if it was a bit hot in the morning. as the day progerssed we got a bit of cloud cover.

I didnt get any pics of the boats on the water but I think there may be some up on face book, I will have to have a look and come back later.

6 boats started 5 got over the line was running very well so pulled out.

I like that ply boat, it's very similar to my 12 ft. red one, that I pinched the design from the then girlfriends grandfather in St Leonards, Port Chalmers, NZ, I borrowed it for the Port Chalmers race 10 ft. long & it planed with a stock Silver Century (WSPCL) on the back @ 12 Mph, very impressive, but I was a bit lighter, way back then.

I still don't like the way Graham's boat looks (Go The Naki) but doesn't it go well!
