Hand Power not Horse Power

Post by charlesp »

Here's a hand cranked outboard, the like of which I have never encountered.

Made quite a long time ago, mainly of wooden construction with crank and chain etc of probable bicycle provenance, it bears a name plate proclaiming it to be a Wentworth Seymour Propellor.

The gentleman in whose care it resides was kind enough to telephone me the other day, inviting me round to have a look. While there he was good enough to show me his Morris Bullnose, his Willys Jeep complete with folding motor bike on a front mounting, and his MG TB. All three are in fabulous condition, prime examples of what can be achieved.

I have put it on the "For Sale" board too.
