I have had sellers tell me there engine didn't come with a gearbox, when they meant it didn't come with a clutch. but this wouldn't be true in every case.
The logic as he explained it to me was as it didn't have , forward, neutral, and reverse like a proper outboard it must not have a gearbox.

Have looked at the sellers Facebook page and he is doing them very well.

But over £300 including postage is a tad on the high side I would say.

Trouble is you add up the hours it takes to do, and then add materials costs, starts getting prohibitively expensive.

Good luck to him but I feel my max price would be £150.

I hope he has painted with fuel proof paint as modern petrol is like paint stripper, also not concours as he has filled the seams on tank ends.

Yes, nice work (having done it myself I know how long it takes) but I can’t see him selling many at that price I’m afraid.As H-A quite rightly says, £150 would be more likely to generate some business.

Perhaps he should also be selling refurbished blocks etc too?

Has anyone out there ever seen an HSD, I've only ever seen one complete one.

This is a rare one it would be fascinating to see 2 pictures of any that are out there, full length & engine number.

It might be genuine, to know for sure you have to wear it in bed, oily mark on the sheets = made in Poole!
