Came across this on eBay, so I snapped it up. Not seen one of these in the flesh before. One for Jeremy to tell us about 8)

Adrian,

Well spotted. That is just the part I need for my Little Model Forty, F201! Although the whole carb is what I am after. Did you ask the vendor whether he had any other relevant carb bits, or indeed the complete carb that this choke mechanism came off?

I have a casting like that one that you have, but it has only been machined with the fine attachment thread, and does not have any of the choke mechanism.

The choke mechanism is a challenge to use. The last time I ran F201, it was using a borrowed carb of the correct spec and I was having starting problems, which was mainly my fault. But, I got into a real muddle trying to turn the choke knob the 8 turns from on to off, and trying to remember whether the choke was actually on or off!
