2cylinder seagull?

Post by winter »

I saw an advertisement from someone who wants to sell a 2 cylinder seagull.
Dit not get pictures or a serialnumber yet.
But is that possible?
So far I just saw single-cylinder Seagulls.

The generic term for an old black outboard with a fuel tank on top seems to be "Seagull" when the details of this one appear don't be suprised if it's got a BMB or a Riptide rope sheave.
Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

unfortunately, it is NOT a seagull.
It is a twin cylinder but it has no name on it.
Attached some unclear pictures.
I think it is a real classic but even the owner does not know the brand.
It just has BR 54 on the bracket and BR 33 on the cylinder.
Who knows eventually?

I am so curious that I want to visit the adress but it takes a 2 hours ride and I don't know if it's worth it.

Sorry for the expectations I waked.

The Marston Twin is a good looking motor from about 20 meters away, when you get closer you realise what a big lump it is, 10 hp that weighs more than 90 lbs without any fuel!
Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

I think you are right Keith, early Britannia had the finned exhaust, a bit hard to see in the pics though, needs a flash or some light!

Is there a similar US engine? Whatever it is, looks nice.
