Little Forty LS20105

Post by winter »

Goodmorning,

I read somewhere that the availability of spares for the Little Forty as above (LS20105) is very poor.
Is that true? Because someone offers one which looks good, but I don't want to buy a problem.

I don't think they are anymore a problem than any other seagull, parts are not so easy to find, but that can be said about some of the older models.
See it running before you buy.

Keith,

It runs but not very smoothly. Needs cleanup of Carb and spark etc.
That's no problem for me.
Do you think this is an attractive one?
And is the colour of the tank original?
I would rather have it black.

Attractive, well I wouldn't go that far.
No the tank would be painted, the decals are available if you wish to change it. Also throttle cable maybe a little long, but its still a tidy little motor.
Its a big looking prop for a little motor, but I prefer the FV models with the round tanks anyway.

Thanks. Well, about 60,= pounds is not to much.
I saw a FV and liked it very much but it was not very complete. Missing parts of the carb and some non-original parts.

Think you are right, but tonight I am getting pictures of other Forties, however a bit younger then this one.
So, I may be in a position to choose the best and the cheapest. As a real Dutch I am always looking for the best prince/value.
