I was hoping to use the Seagull this weekend but unfortunatly the tank is still leaking. I've tried solder and epoxy putty with no luck. I may try brazing it this weekend if I can get it off and clean in time. A friend of mine is meeting me for a sail and said he'd bring his torch and a brazing rod. There is going to be a classic boat show on the lake and I really wanted to have the gull pushing me around. Maybe I'll bring the motor with me along with a dremel tool to get things cleaned up for brazing. Wish me luck

tank leaking
Keith,
I've sealed tanks with a product called "slosh-n-seal". It may go by other names, however. Auto parts stores may carry it, or a similar product of another name. Just last week I sealed a "plastic" tank on a generator with the stuff. I removed the tank, rinsed a few times with detergent and hot HOT water, let dry, then poured in the "slosh-n-seal". Let it coat the entire interior of the tank, drained out the excess, let dry for 12 hrs. and voila'. No leak. Randolph makes a tank sealer, but it's a little pricey. Hope this helps. Good luck with whatever you try. All the best. Charlie
