So here we are Lerryn 2012.

We took 4 boats and 5 engines to Fowey, for the 24th Lerryn Seagull Race.

On the morning of the race there was not much water, but we still launched with no problems.

Fowey has a great slip if you have not been there.

We were soon on our way up to Lerryn, but ran out of water so had pasties for lunch with a little beer for the adults :) .

There are worse places in January to have lunch.

Another vid on the tube.

I think that this is the best so far, realy shows how the locals struggle with the 170s

It does show that it is a good fun event, and even shows the pub.

On top of my telly.

Was told to take it and get a plaque engraved for it.

Why is someone missing it :)

I'm missing it. There's a blank space on the pub wall where I usually look while ruminating on the temperature of the Doom.

Don't worry RBT I will bring it back this summer as we are down on holiday.

Or might rush down for the Summer solstice do, when is it?

Excellent.

Well the Solstice picinic is as near to the 21st as poss. alowing tides / location. Date announced nearer the time.

Had my eye originally on that plaque when I eventually found it went to the winner of the most subscribed class. Not an advertised fact . . . got the broken oar inscribed a couple of times, but not good enough.

We'll see how the body / building projects (no, not body-building projects) allow boat building for next Seagull race.
