Bought this tank at a local boat jumble today and wondered if anybody knew what its real purpose is for. Can just make out the old British Seagull decals!
Any thoughts......
Will also add that there weren't many parts about for the old Seagull's, in fact, I think I bought everything Seagull related, ready for my next re-build. I am now the proud owner of 14 completed engines, all stripped down, rebuilt and repainted. Think I have now become obsessed, but there are so many stripping engines and selling the parts on ebay, some of us have to put some back together and keep the dream alive!!

Well, I guess it all depends on why you have Seagull outboards in the first place. If you're engaged in the marine engineering equivalent of stamp-collecting, then I can see your point. But if you actually use these engines for a job of work, as I do, then having several identical, or near-identical engines makes far more sense.
Make the most of it (says he, who's been inside sheltering most of the day), apparently tomorrow it's all change ... and I can get the grass cut, at last.
