"LOUD" can, sometimes, be very satisfying.

Get the job done I say.

It sound like a machine gun! I am sure the neighborhood enjoy it as I did..!

Yesterday I tried to start the one with the problem. It started after many pulls but needs more fuel to start and sometimes when I pull the cord after one single ignition the engine pull my hand backwards. I hope I explained well the situation. After start running to continue, it needs to run in more rpm than the first outboard. At least now I know that apart from the crankshaft or the con rod, everything else seems to be ok.

In addition.. when I start the pump water came out of the cylinder head and the exhaust so I remove the copper gasket and make one new of permanite. That solved the problem mostly. Only one tiny drop of water apearred intead of continious leakage. But that can be easily fixed adding some gasket maker silicone. I saw no crack on the block so I believe it's OK.

Today I realy want to use bad language about not stanless steel screws... I had one stuck. I used a broken screw extractor after several atempts, some liters of WD40 and heating I had this result.

Rust and salts never allow the screw to turn. The screw broke, so did the walls. After that I manage to remove the screw in pieces. Welding will be the next step. The other one leg is also broken in that point but with a modification from the previous owner there is nothing need to be done.

Now I can go on with some pics that I owe.

The pump pumping water during a test.

Disassembled parts from my two outboards and two spare cylinder heads.

The original and a fake square drive shaft.

My faulty amal 46N carb. It has destroyed threads so the banjo bolt does not screws well. The floating chamber has a modification for the same reason..
At this time I try to do a fitting with new threads. To this point I need your help. Does the banjo bolt has threads BSF 5/8"x14" ? Please verify.

I hope you enjoy it!

After some care, painting etc I came to this result. Not bad I hope. I know that I have to care about exhausts, drive shaft cases, carbs and propellers but there is no time right now. Any suggestion welcomed!

Looking good! I hope you are pleased with your efforts. I'm interested in seeing the tanks on.
Cheers Rolf.

Unfortunately I don't have tanks!!
The seller I bought them, said that have one and will bring it to me in September. The second one I need may be a DIY solution... We will see.

Thank you guys! I did what I could. With more money I could do more but perfection is expensive.
I think those two babes are saved for now and for some years.
I will try to upload some video working. Now I can't wait for the next project I wait to receive from UK.. right Paul? :D
