Perusing some old magazine articles from half a century ago, I found illustrations of the original 'Little Model Forty'.
I'd been asked to look to see what the thumbscrews looked like - I was told that they were simply bent bronze components. The illustrations didn't really resolve that one, but I couldn't help noticing that the motor illustrated had an Amal carburettor, not the Villiers we associate with the Forty series.
Have any of you out there got an early 'Little Model Forty' with an Amal carb? Has it got the normal thumbscrews?
