Was going to make a correction about the threads but you beat me to it B.
Bought a BSW / BSF thread gauge yesterday and confirmed threads are in fact BSW.
Interesting that UNC nuts fit easily, but I tried the reverse also and find that BSW nuts will bind against UNC threads. Pitch must therefore be same, but with different angles. Learn something every day.
B, please measure ring gaps when positioned towards spark plug end of the bore and advise. I will be doing same.
Am finding it difficult to accurately measure pun diameter with my limited tools.
Charles, you've asked a lot of questions which have been answered. I've asked one of you re ring gap and have got zip in return. Please, if you could share your thoughts, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks & Regards
